First Play Date

Today Mat went to work, and I went on my first solo outing! I took Ava to my friend's house for a play date with her 7 week year old son. We spent the morning getting ready...getting out the door with a 2 week old baby is harder than it may seem. After nursing, changing diapers, making sure the baby bag is packed, let alone making sure I brushed my teeth and look semi decent, we were on our way. Ava was very well behaved and slept most of the time. My friend and I took our kids for a walk in their matching BOB strollers, and it hit me that I am now a stay at home mom. I am so excited to be able to spend the days with Ava and watch her grow.

By the time we got home and Ava ate, it was time for her to take her evening snooze. As you can see, she was spent!

    I am so happy you are doing this, so we can really see what is going on with Ava and you and Mat. She is really changing so fast.
    Happy you are getting out there........so much to learn and manage, enjoy
    .....grandma yaya (just plaing with this name, I figure I have a bit of time before I need to decide)
